ALL ABOUT AILET EXAM 2024
In order to be granted admission to the esteemed National Law University in Delhi (NLU-D), prospective law students must pass the fiercely difficult All India Law Entrance Test (AILET). Thousands of applicants vie each year for a small number of seats.
You must pass AILET 2024 in order to be eligible to enroll in NLU Delhi’s five-year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.) program. The university only accepts AILET as the only law admission exam.
AILET: Eligibility Requirements
- The candidate must have earned at least a 50% (45% for SC and ST candidates) passing grade in Class 12 or an equivalent test from a board or institution that is recognized.
- Candidates can additionally apply for AILET 2024 exams if they desire to sit for the 12th-grade board examination.
- There exists no age restriction to take the exam.
- The amount of attempts is not limited.
AILET: Examination Pattern
- AILET 2024 is conducted in an offline mode.
- It carries a total number of 150 multiple-choice questions.
- It provides a time limit of two hours to complete the entire paper.
- A total of one mark is to be awarded for each correct response, and 0.25 marks are going to be deducted for each wrong answer.
- The question paper is written in the English language.
AILET: Syllabus
The AILET 2024 exam now consists of fewer components, according to NLU Delhi. English Language, Current Affairs and General Knowledge, and Logical Reasoning make up the portions of the AILET exam paper.
- The number of questions asked in the section on English language is 50.
- The number of questions asked in the section on Current Affairs and General Knowledge is 30.
- The number of questions asked in the section on Logical Reasoning is 70.
AILET: Required Documents for Registration
Online applications for AILET 2024 exams can be submitted at https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/. If a candidate wants to take the entrance exam, they need to pay the registration money and complete the application process before the deadline. - Current portrait-size photograph, ideally with a plain white background (maximum file size of 1 MB in JPG, JPEG, or PNG format).
- The signature of the candidate is enclosed in a 6 x 3 cm box with a white paper sheet and no more than 1 MB.
AILET: Registration Fees
- For general category candidates, the registration cost for AILET 2024 is 3,500 rupees.
- For SC/ST’PWD category candidates, the registration cost for AILET 2024 is 1500 rupees.
- Candidates can use credit, debit, or net banking to pay the AILET registration cost online.
AILET: Steps to Fill up the Registration Form
- Go to https://nationallawuniversitydelhi.in/,the official website of Delhi NLU.
- After selecting the “Registration” link, fill out the required boxes with your name, email address, mobile number, and password.
- Once more, click the “Register” button.
- You’ll get a pop-up window asking for verification. After that, a text message will arrive on your registered phone number requesting that you use your username to enter into the Delhi NLU website.
- Enter your username, which is your registered mobile number, and password to log in. NLU Delhi will send you the password over text message.
- The password will need to be changed next. Click the registration link once again to log in after creating a new password.
- Click “Apply” after selecting 5-Year B.A.LL.B. (Hons.).
- Enter your contact information, qualifying exam information, and personal information in the registration form.

- A scanned passport-size photo of you that is no larger than 1 MB in a jpg, jpeg, or png file, and is colored with a white background
- A signature (on a piece of white paper, 6 by 3 cm, and no more than 1 MB)
- Certificate of categorization (if applicable).
- After that, click “Save as Draft” followed by “Submit form.”
- A preview of your application form will show up. Should you discover that you made a mistake when submitting your application, simply click the “Delete Application” option and start over. However, if there were no mistakes committed when submitting the application, click the “Make Payment” option.
- A pop-up window offering credit, debit, net banking, or UPI payment options will show up. Following the payment of the AILET fees, you will receive a confirmation email and message. Save a copy for your documentation.
